Dr. Gregory Kirk is a HIMS psychiatrist in Denver, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City and is Board-Certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry in Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry.
Dr. Kirk’s specialty in Aviation Psychiatry is in the assessment of complex medical certification cases. He opened his aviation practice in Denver in 2012. In 2020, Dr. Kirk opened his Las Vegas office and, in 2024, came to Salt Lake City. He is licensed in Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah and sees clients in Denver, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City.

Away from aviation, Dr. Kirk evaluates and treats players in the National Basketball Association and the National Football League and is an expert in unanticipated deaths and injuries associated with drugs, alcohol, behavioral disorders, and mental illness.

FAA Path II Antidepressant Protocol Shortens SIA Wait Time from Six to Three Months
Before today’s change (December 3, 2025), a pilot had to prove stability for six months before applying for a Special Issuance Authorization. A pilot now has to show three months of stability on one Path II medication. The rest of the Path II protocol is unchanged.
